Two clients join forces in a new start up

A new brand, website, and a marketing strategy

Client: Let's Chat

Let’s Chat is a company that was born out of introductions made by Smart Marketing. Katherine Stevens was working with Kent OT a private practice of Occupational Therapists and with Sambhana Care a home care company and she introduced the two businesses as there seemed to be some synergies that might be interesting. Kent OT was struggling to offer their reminiscence groups with the new rules of no visiting in Care Homes due to the Covid Pandemic. Sambhana Care was keen to be able to offer occupational therapy services to their clients and they had a holistic view of delivering care in the community and so they decided to team up and Let’s Chat was born. Let’s Chat videos are designed to provide a unique opportunity for connection of an older person with their companion through stimulating conversation and are available with an easy monthly subscription.

Our marketing support

The Let’s Chat team had a vision to deliver a digital reminiscence videos to individuals, care homes and home care companies but needed a strategic marketing plan to bring their ideas to life and ongoing support with brand development and website design.

Duration

November 2020 to present.

The challenge

Let’s Chat is a brand-new concept in the elderly care market and so needed some careful consideration in terms of brand style, core messaging, visual interpretation and as a start up this all had to be built quickly and with relatively small budgets.

Our approach

We first worked with the new team to build a strategic marketing plan but with limited competitors we needed to construct a plan from scratch and define the direction for the brand. It was clear that with the service being offered digitally that a website and brand visual was the top priority to get the message out there.

Project Specifics

We worked with our trusted partner Chameleon Design to structure the content we helped to write into a clear and concise website whilst the team worked on building the video content, the back office e-commerce set up and CRM functionality.

The outcome

We arranged a business launch photo day and took the pictures and the story to the local press and achieved some good editorial coverage in KM Business and followed this up with a consistent social media campaign and a feature in Kent Life Magazine both in press and on their FB feed.

The next steps

We have worked with the team to build their digital footprint with google my business posting, consistent social media content scheduling and updates to website content as the business has evolved. We are now working with them on their B2B strategy contacting care homes to enable group subscriptions and other industry partners with strategic alliances.

Our client said

It was through Katherine, and her dynamic and creative thinking and networking skills, that we met our now business partners, Tony and Dan. Katherine had seen the potential mutual benefits of bringing our skill sets together. A short while after she introduced us, we began our new business, Let’s Chat. We have worked with Katherine from the beginning of Let’s Chat. Her energy, positivity, knowledge and drive have supported us all through the trials of setting up a new business during a pandemic! Her straight talking and humour have been refreshing and her encouragement has been invaluable. Katherine has offered constructive advice and guidance throughout our start up period and her organised, reliable and creative approach to her work with us has been amazing. Katherine was genuinely delighted for us when we had our first sale and has been an absolute asset to our team.
