The Kent and Medway Growth Hub (KMGH) forms part of the South East Business Hub, the South East Local Enterprise Partnership’s overarching business support programme, which also supports local hubs in East Sussex and Essex, Southend and Thurrock. They help new and existing businesses find the most suitable type of business support available in their area.

To create a strategic marketing plan for 2022 running into 2023 and deliver management support on recommended activities in partnership with the team at KMGH

The challenge

Marketing had been managed in house with little strategic direction or measurement and reporting. Resourcing was an issue and with important stakeholders to report to there was a real need for extra support and direction. There was a lack of awareness of the KMGH function and role that needed clarification.

Our approach

Run a complete audit on existing activities and put in place ongoing consistent and measured activity to properly establish what works and what does not to ensure budget allocation is justified.  

Project Specifics

Create a consistent plan of activity with monthly KPI’s to address the business objectives. Ensure enough flexibility is maintained to respond to real time opportunities when new contracts are launched and need promotion within tight timeframes.

The outcome

Monthly plans of activity are now being delivered on specific campaigns and to raise overall brand awareness and to clarify the messaging and role of the KMGH.

The next steps

Ongoing there is a need to build the brand further and clarify the offering and to ensure that campaign specific activity delivers on targets set
